Welcome to The St. James Voltrons Page!

We are the 20's and 30's group at St. James Episcopal Church in Austin, Texas. Most people in our group are also members of the church, but that is not required. To learn more about the history of the Voltrons, see the History page. To learn more about St James, please click on the link above.

Meetings take place on Wednesdays, from 8 to 10 PM, at various locations around town--as a general rule, we meet at a member's home for a month (but also the occasional coffee shop or pizza parlor). Check the googlegroup emails or contact Ryan Parks for the latest details. Ryan's number is seven nine one six nine nine eight. His email is at gmail.com - just put ryankparks in front of the whole gmail.com thing.

Voltron group members sometimes go out for dinner after the 6pm Sunday service (usually around 7:45pm).

If you would like to know the latest news and goings on, we have an email group through Google at http://groups.google.com/group/Voltrons. This is how we usually communicate with each other. You can find out where we will meet and (sometimes) what we'll talk about. In case you missed something in the past, you can also search previous posts once you join the googlegroup. In addition, we sometimes post other events like stuff happening around town or social gatherings. For instructions on how to sign up for our email list (and get posts sent directly to your email), go to the Googlegroup page.

The topics we cover vary greatly. The issues we discuss involve wider ranging subjects related to Christianity, religion, and ethics. We consider it a forum for honest discussion and value tolerance for different ideas.

We have a calendar that should be used more, right now no one is using it :(

Voltrons! Please feel free to edit this wiki. Everything is really simple, just click on the "help" button at the top left hand corner to get basic instructions.
